Consultations
We have a large collection of rugs to choose from and we are very happy to help you find the perfect rug for every room in your home. We offer free in-store and in-home design and rug consultation for your convenience.
Our design consultation team is ASID and ISID affiliated and has over 20 years experience in interior design and space planning. They will come to your home, measure the areas where you would like rugs, help you choose what size and color rug would be best for that space.
The design team will then choose rugs specific to the size, style and colors you specify and bring them back to your home to try. (Or you can come into our store with the designer and together we can choose the rugs that might work in your space.)
Our staff will move all furniture and place each rug under furniture to see which one looks best. This service is complimentary and there is absolutely no obligation.
Rug Padding
Rug padding is another fundamental part of rug maintenance. A rug pad prevents a rug from moving and sliding and acts as a cushion that not only protects the carpet but increases the comfort level of walking on it. Pads are available for rugs that lay on hard surfaces and over carpet.
The padding we carry will not mark, stain, or damage any flooring and contributes to LEED for a greener home. Additionally the padding we provide is made in the U.S.A. and is mold, moth, and mildew resistant.
It is essential that padding be fit to each rugs specification, as one uniform piece in order to prevent concaved gaps in the rug which would be the result of small pieces of padding being attached to one another. At Shiraz Rug Gallery we only furnish custom cut pads based on the size of each rug. For a proper rug pad fit it is customary for the padding to be cut a half an inch shorter than the dimension of the rug in order for the rug to lay flush to the floor.

Rug Appraisal
We offer formal written appraisal of rugs to meet the needs of our private clients, as well as estate executors and fiduciary advisors.
A formal written appraisal requires inspection of the rug. We photograph and categorize each rug that is brought in for appraisal. We document the materials, condition, construction, and age. We then base the evaluation on the current U.S. retail market.
These written appraisals meet many needs including but not limited to: asset management, probate and succession, informed estate and tax planning, insurance purposes, inquires about property acquisition, collateral loan agreements, gift tax documentation, and charitable contributions.
It is our pleasure to assist our clients in understanding the value of their rug investment. As a courtesy we offer free verbal appraisals upon request.
